It is now 1615 and madame and myself are having a siesta – no, not THAT kind of a siesta, but the get out of the heat and sunshine siesta.
(I did suggest the other kind, but Jo reassured me that i didnt want to get all hot and bothered….)
Anyway, lets carry on from yesterday, and update a few things. We have used Brittany Ferries a fair bit now, but this was the first time that we have upgraded to the Premier Lounge and – being honest – that was very much worth it. Yes it was £160 quid for the pair of us, but, it basically gave us 5 free meals, free softs drinks, beaucoup du vin and a decent area or space away from “cattle class”- I am not denigrating folk, but it was quiet and calm and remarkably child free – and lets be honest, Children are the BEST advert for contraception… Any way, we had a lot of really good food!, and the view forrard was great – especially when the dolphins came to play aroiund the bow!

Once we had docked, we set off to a nearby town where there was a Lidl to get aa few bits and pieces – some cheese, some wine and some olives to be specific…. but after finding a coiled gentleman sausage to BBQ – Jo liked that idea, I was really impressed with the solution to stop people handling all the bread products…. -= a long trowel type thing that you used to lift your choice out into a space you can pick it up – genius – the UK supermarkets need this! I was also pleasantly suprised with the price of local wines – well, the 2 litres of red in a classic plastic screwtop bottle for 2.5 euros did scare me a bit, but we stocked up on the necessary provisions and headed over to the camp site – excuse some of the photos they were done remotely via siri….

SWe arrived around 1030, and got ourselves checked in and then set up; we wandered back down to the reception area, then went for a light salad and a small Cuba Libre for madame…. the salad was wonderful, and i am pleased to say that it seems they are not used to the English…. but very pleasant food and surroundings. After that, onto the beach for a paddle and chill before stocking up for a BBQ tonight….

enough – its nap time !
