We were not supposed to be going away in Ziggy this week end – but, as Leeds had already been promoted, and the next few weeks were going to be busy, I took it on myself to book a swift overnight stop at Craig Nos near to Sheringham. Sheringham is often overlooked as it is close to Cromer – but having managed a mental health service in Cromer – I do avoid it like the plague! There was also a method in my madness – I had recently acquired a new to us set of awning sides that I wanted to try to fit….. and much to Jo’s despair, i wanted to use the electric bikes we had bought a year or so ago…. The look of deep joy when i imparted this news was a real picture – but as i had not imbibed enough Hero Juice to photograph the moment….
It’s the first time i had put the bikes on the rack – and to help with the weight, i had taken the batteries off. I had bought a specific bike cover from TaylorMade and i wanted to fit that as well – this is all a part of our planned trip this summer – The cover fitted really well – i dud use a bungee cord – but I don’t think its necessary to be honest. Either, got both bikes loaded and secured – remember that I fitted this rack way back in time?

So, off we set on our journey and decided to go via one of our favourite National Trust properties – Felbrigg Hall. One of the reasons why we love it is the stunning Walled Garden – it’s featured here before! This visit was just as the Garden is starting to come back to life – an incredible diversity of tulips, and several areas have been revamped:

So, a pleasant couple of hours – including both the wonderful second hand bookshop – i bought a Tommy Cooper collection of jokes, and the gift shop where madam bought a new titfer, we pressed on, pausing only for a restorative beverage – Ghost Ship, at the Roman Camp Inn, we soon arrived at our destination, and we set about setting things up. I have, for sometime, been looking for some lightweight sides for our roll out awning. I had lucked onto an exact thing that i wanted – so after a couple of hundred quid had changed hands, the awning bits and pieces, including a pair of Thule Tension Rafters. Obviously i was not certain what was fitted, or indeed would need to be fitted – so i had packed a drill as well for this trip. Having moved a few things around, and worked out how to fit it – there are no instructions, i was really pleased – the sides zip over the tension rafters, and figure of 8 connectors keep the sides connected to the front. I roughly pegged it down for the night, and will revisit its fitting in the future – but, its going to be perfect for our needs in the future.

Next up was firing up the leccy bikes, and heading into Sheringham – which i have to be honest – i chose the wrong route via the common…. Either way, we got there and enjoyed a brief potter and a pint – and its always good to sea the sea!

So, a lovely brief visit – i did also cook on the cadac – great piece of kit still.
