Decided to get away for a couple of days as I wanted to just have some quiet time – its going to be a busy old July as the two boys are with us for two weeks – and Sulk Major and Minor are going to their first festival – Latitude. One of the sites we have visited before is at kessingland – The Caravan and Motorhome Club’s site at kessingland – The White House Beach club campsite – but this site is a bit unusual – its in two places! When we stayed before, we were on the main section of the camp site, where you can pitch awnings and so forth. But there is another section that is literally on the beach – and having researched a bit, that’s hard standing, with no awnings – a booking was made, and i elected to get there early doors at 1300 as i wanted one of those pitches – i rocked up and joined the queue and was able to secure the pitch i wanted.

the weather was awful – I even put the heating on for this trip away! But I did get to go for a wander around kessingland on the Saturday, and – this may surprise none east anglians – came across a Church with a Thatched roof

This is quite a rare thing to see these days but I liked St Edmunds and it was a nice yomp up and around the village:

The frequent rain squalls did not dampen my wander – and the East Coast does have some outstanding views – and the light – i so wish I could paint!
Oh – i have not done anything with these photographs – in time I will dabble as i know that there are a couple of photos there that i think would be tweaked well…. As a big fan of adobe photoshop in the past, but then some one who objected to the insane prices that adobe charge, I switched over to Affinity Photo – currently you can try it free for 6 months – and its actual cost is minimal in my opinion.
Needless to say, after solid rain for days, i woke at 0430 to a glorious sunrise – the one photo moment making the trip worth while
